Background
Ward 2 councillor for Clarkson and Lorne Park, and former school-board trustee. He finished second in the 2024 mayoral by-election behind Carolyn Parrish with about 35,000 votes. Before municipal politics he worked in government relations for Sheridan College and as a political staffer for Ontario Liberal governments. He ran provincially for the Ontario Liberals in 2018 and finished fifth in the 2020 Ontario Liberal leadership race. He is a graduate of Harvard and Queen's University.
